Shiko Kaittany is one of the freshest faces to hit Kenyan Television. The dynamic host is best known as the face of the hit game show – Tazama Chapaa.
Being a Journalism graduate from the United States International University, Shiko began her media career at Kameme fm back in 2006; where she hosted an East African Contemporary weekly countdown; the youngest on air personality on a vernacular station at the time.
In 2009, Shiko joined the Royal Media Family, hosting the mid morning segment on Hot 96 until June 2011; when she left radio to pursue television
Shiko, has grown in her field of Broadcast not only as an associate tv host, but as a reporter; contributing entertaining news stories to Citizen News Bulletins, and covering Key events in entertainment such as Tusker Project Fame; reporting “live from the Tusker dome.”
In addition to all this, Shiko has worked as a mid morning Radio Presenter on Classic 105 (Kenya’s Number One Radio Station) as well as a script writer and voice artist – voicing commercials for brands such as NIVEA, Coke and Samsung.
Her extensive work doubling as a creative has seen her shine on productions such as “Tujuane” “The Sakata Dance Show” and most recently “Rescue My Business” that aired on NTV (published in the Nation Newspaper) in 2017 and was well received by audiences.
Media is shiko’s passion; and she hopes to host her own weekly Tv and Radio show in the future. Shiko continues to get involved in social events, charity work, and motivational workshops whenever she can.
Currently, Shiko is the latest addition to the youth channel – Y254! As part of the breakfast crew, Shiko fires up the morning show with her segment “Hello Day” where she brings a blend current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, social and economic matters affecting the youth, celebrity and trending topics of the day.
